New things and Shopping update

Over the past few weeks I've accumulated a few new items which I thought I would share. I somehow managed to run out of money at the end of last month through too much spending and not enough budgeting so the second I got paid I had pretty much pre-planed everything that I wanted to buy and now I think I'm all out till next month. I have started buying bits and piece for when I go on holiday which is deifnitely a good thing.

I got this dress from Urban outfitters which I completely love but its not very easy to wear because it's really long draping fabric which trails along the floor, I may have to figure out a way to alter it.

These shoes I got in the sale in Urban Outfitters and they are so perfect it's untrue. Although I had a bit of a comedy moment when wore them for the first time today and tripped up and threw a whole cup of coffee in the air. I definitely need to practice walking in them as it's been a while since I wore platforms.

I also got these in the sale at Urban Outfitters. I got them with my holiday in mind although since the weather in the Uk has been a so warm I've actually worn them nearly everyday since I got them.

This is my new little grunge dress which i mentioned in my last post. I love it, it's definitely getting worn at the weekend.

This week I also had a little shopping trip in the Trafford Centre although I did more browsing that buying!

The boy London display in Selfridges. I've decided I'm desparate for a pair of their leggings but they have now become impossible to track down. There was a pair on eBay but they ended up going for £90!

I also tried on this leather jacket in Zara which I came very close to buying although I concluded that it wasn't worth it for the money.

I also tried on this denim playsuit from Miss Selfridge but I decided it was a bit pricey at £40

While I was out I also picked up a few new accessories, I got the rosmary beads and these massive heart earrings from River Island and the black cuff from H&M.

The little grunge dress

I've got a new obsession with little grunge dresses. I've always loved having a wardrobe full of little dresses which are really easy to wear. Courtney Love made ripped vintage baby doll dresses famous in the 90' and they are all over Tumblr again. Now they are in fashion they seem to be everywhere. I bought a new vintage floral one last week and I can't wait for it to arrive. Etsy is another good place for tracking down vintage 90's dresses, although there is so many pages of them you have to have a proper search through to find the good ones.

I tracked down a few different grunge style dresses below from a mixed of high street and vintage online stores.

Since it's been so hot in the UK this week I've certainly noticed how lacking my summer wardrobe is, I'm definitely going to have to sort this out before I got on holiday in june. Some pretty summery dresses like these would be perfect.

What I Wore #10

I've had these pictures for a while now but just kept forgetting to edit them and put them up. This is one of my favourite outfits at the moment, it's a slightly different style for me but I think that's what keeps fashion exciting, changing things all the time. I've been through a long faze of wearing similar things so I think I was starting to get fed up of the way I looked so time to make way for new things :).

I'm going to do a more throughout post about where I get my accessories from soon as people keep asking where I get things from.

GRAPHICS INSPIRED

I've seen so many graphic ideas I love recently. I've been collecting loads for future use. I made a few boards of inspiration below. Today I have been mostly making sea horse, camo and paint blur prints for spring summer 13.

Mermaid Hair

So finally I decided that my hair extensions which have been on their last legs for weeks needed replacing. I ended up paying £75 for them as I wanted longer ones than before and better quality in the hope that they might not end up in a straggly mess like the last ones. I have to dye them to match my hair which is a massive pain in the ass. When I finally put them in my hair before going out on Saturday I realized that they were way longer than I actually thought! I look a bit like a european porn star.

Tikka headpieces

I've got a brand new obsession with indian headpieces. I've never really taken a liking to this kind of thing before but after seeing it on the Chanel catwalk a few months ago everywhere all of a sudden seems to be awash with images of this gorgeous tikka headpieces.

I read a trend report yesterday on WGSN (a trend prediction website) that they were going to be big in fashion next summer. There's already loads for selling on websites such as Etsy and Asos market place. I'll definitely be investing in some soon.
